Underseen Keanu Reeves movies on TV

Tis Monday.

The weather isn’t a great deal of fun right now.

Maybe stay inside and watch some movies?

Here’s how it looks on the box on Monday, 6 December…

Transformers: The Last Knight – Film4 – 6pm

The fifth one.

Blood Father – Turner Classic Movies / TCM – 9pm

Mel Gibson embarks on a violent quest to rescue his daughter from a vicious drug cartel.

Jason Bourne – Film4 – 9pm

Matt Damon takes the baton back from Jeremy Renner.

Gran Torino – TG4 – 9.30

Clint Eastwood hits a 10 on the ‘grizzled Clint Eastwood’ scale in this tale of a widower and veteran of the Korean War who learns to put his prejudices aside as he develops an unlikely relationship.

Half Past Dead – ITV4 – 10pm

One of the more ridiculous titles of Steven Seagal’s storied career, that.

47 Ronin – TCM – 10.50pm

Our choice for this evening.

A band of samurai warriors is betrayed by a ruthless warlord, leading to ferocious and fantastical battles.

Keanu Reeves, Hiroyuki Sanada, Rinko Kukuchi and Tadanobu Asano star.

And hey, if you don’t fancy this particular Keanu adventure, why not dive into his other notably underrated action effort that just landed on Netflix?

Topsy-Turvy – Film4 – 11.25pm

Oscar-winning drama from Mike Leigh, vividly detailing the creative strain between opera writers Gilbert and Sullivan.

Rush Hour 2 – ITV4 – 12.05am

The second one.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
