Some motherf#*ers are always trying to ice-skate uphill…

Before the Avengers Assembled, Batman got all brilliantly Dark Nighty Knight and Spiderman hit our screens as an emo teenager with a penchant for wearing spandex, there was one comic book film that JOE loved more than others.

The films featuring the bad-ass vampire hunter Blade had tons of gore, brilliant fight sequences, exploding vampires and a techno soundtrack that could raise the dead. Just don’t mention Blade: Trinity, apart from those moments with Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel.

Fresh from his recent prison release and movie comeback in The Expendables 3, it seems that Wesley Snipes is set to return to his most famous role, Demolition Man aside obviously, as the vampire hunter for a fourth instalment.

Nothing has been confirmed yet, but Marvel own the rights to the franchise and we would be amazed if this didn’t get off the ground. Marvel run the cinematic universe right? It’s been reported that Snipes is close to agreeing a $3m deal, we just hope he has new accountants to handle his fee this time.

JOE reckons that Snipes would probably be cast as a mentor type figure, just like Whistler in the original series, especially given his age and recent public profile. All comic-book films need a wise old head like Nick Fury,  Uncle Ben, Jor-El, Alfred… we’re starting to detect a trend here.

Too early for this? No way…
