Video: A beautifully-crafted account of Walter White’s transformation in Breaking Bad

A reminder of why we loved it so much in the first place.

A reminder of why we loved it so much in the first place.

The likes of Game of Thrones, True Detective and House of Cards might be the topic of more discussion at dinner parties these days, but for some, even several months after its finale, Breaking Bad remains the Daddy of them all when it comes to TV drama.

In case anyone needed a reminder of just why that is, French filmmaker Alexandre Gasulla has gone and made a beautifully-crafted tribute, documenting the rise and fall of Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and his transformation from mild-mannered family man to power-mad and ruthless drug magnate.

There are, of course, plenty of nods to other central characters like Jesse, Saul, Gus, Skyler and Hank, but as was the case in the show itself, the star here is Walter White and we can honestly say that of all the Breaking Bad tributes, there aren’t any as powerful, as moving and indeed as impressive as this one.

Because it’s so beautifully put together, profanity almost seems inappropriate but what the hell, once more for old times’ sake; this is brilliant… bitch.
