The 100th episode of Republic of Telly will be broadcast this Monday night. It’s had some great moments over the years and we’ve picked our favourite sketches from the previous 99 episodes.

In no particular order, we start off with the brilliant Republic of Telly Orchestra prank with the hilarious Fred Cooke as the conductor. Fred and the orchestra follow some unsuspecting individuals around town and play some tunes to suit the moment. The Countdown theme at the traffic lights, the Rocky theme for joggers. It’s all great fun.

This sketch captures the essence of what it is to be Irish. So many brilliant moments in this sketch and plenty to identify with.

The Irish wedding sketch is fantastic as it captures everything right and wrong about Irish weddings. From the Dad wanting to sing a very long ballad to the speeches, this has it all.

This is Jennifer Maguire and Dermot Whelan re-creating the Barry’s Tea ad and it’s worth it for Jen’s cross-eyed demeanour if nothing else.

This ridiculously over the top sketch about Bosco is a classic. Building him up to be some sort of dark crime fighter is brilliant and the dramatic music ads to the hilarity. We especially love the line ‘From the studio that brought you Nationwide’. Great stuff.
