Video: Fainting halfway through wasn’t going to stop this reporter from finishing her piece

What a pro.

Conor Heneghan

What a pro.

We’ve featured quite a lot of hilarious news bloopers on the site in recent days, but if there was a similar compilation dedicated to the professionalism of news anchors and reporters in 2013, then Brooke Graham of KUTV would be in there in a heartbeat.

While presenting a segment on cross-country skiing in Utah at the weekend, Graham began to feel faint in the process of interviewing two skiers and suddenly collapsed to the ground on live television.

As the interviewees came to her aid and began to unfasten the skis from her feet, Graham suddenly sprung into a sitting position and after acknowledging that she had just passed out, continued the interview as if nothing had happened.

It could have been an incredibly awkward and quite scary scenario had Graham not rescued it with her own professionalism and it’s OK to smile about it now, because, as KUTV expressed under the video on YouTube: “*Note* KUTV Reporter Brooke Graham works six days a week and is one of our hardest workers. She is doing fine following this instance and has given us permission to post the video on her behalf.”

A fine pro and well able to have a giggle at herself too. Well played Brooke, very well played indeed.
