At this point you’re probably wondering how one can accidentally eat cat vomit, but it happened and on live TV too.

Forced ‘banter’ between the various presenters on news programmes is common across the globe, but it’s probably fair to say that they go a little bit overboard in the US compared to pretty much everywhere else.

The exchanges between the news team on US station WSFB 3 recently was particularly cringe-worthy even before one of the team, Scot Haney, picked up what he thought were grape nuts off the floor and popped them into his mouth while still on the air.

As it turns out, they weren’t grape nuts at all, but particles from vomit that his cat had left on the floor of his house and that he had stepped in before leaving for work, a revelation that he made shortly after swallowing the offending vomit during his broadcast.

Eating cat vomit live on air sounds like something from the script of the new Anchorman movie and no more than milk for Ron Burgundy himself, it was a bad choice.
