There was never a better actor to play Lincoln than Daniel Day Lewis. Nominated for 7 Golden Globes it looks set to be a winner.

Covering the period of civil war in America, Lincoln looks at the trials and tribulations the president faced in office.
Trying to bring peace to a nation while abolishing slavery, Day Lewis brings his trademark skills to the table as a deeply troubled Lincoln.
Seeing as this movie was directed by Steven Spielberg, and Day Lewis has already bagged two Oscars in his career, it’s probably set to win a few of those Golden Globes and an Oscar or two as well.
Sally Field plays Lincoln’s wife Mary, while Joseph Gordon Levitt plays their son Robert.
The film is partly based on the Doris Kearn Goodwin biography, ‘Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln’ covering the final four months of the doomed presidents life.
Even if we know how it ends, this will surely be a powerful performance once again from the Irish actor.
