Explosions and aliens and shooting, it’s got everything you could want from a summer blockbuster
The Guardians of the Galaxy is the next super-mega-huge comic book movie from the folks at Disney and Marvel, and they have released this teeny weeny little teaser for us to get a sense of what the movie will be about.
It’s pretty much guaranteed to be a summer blockbuster this year, so if you want to get in the know about what it’s going to be like and you’re not familiar with the world of comic books, this 15-second crash course should do the trick.
Disney said that the story is about Peter Quill who is being hunted down after stealing a mysterious orb. There’s a villain (Ronan) who wants the orb and to take over the universe, and Quill bands together a motley crew of “Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer”.
Orbs, weird raccoons and taking over the universe, it ticks all our boxes. It also stars Zoe Saldana so we’re definitely in. The full trailer will be aired in the States on Jimmy Kimmel tonight, so check back tomorrow for a little bit more.
