You’ve probably heard of Irish American mobster Whitey Bulger before; if you haven’t, he just happens to be one of the most notorious criminals in the history of the USA.
He also acted as an FBI informant for 30 years in an effort to take down a Mafia family who had crossed his path in south Boston and the story of his eventful life will be documented in Black Mass, which goes out later this year.
Johnny Depp plays Bolger and he’s joined in a fairly stellar cast by the likes of Benedict Cumbermatch, Sienna Miller and Kevin Bacon.
Warner Bros. gave us out first glimpse of what Whitey and the movie will look like this week and we have to say we’re impressed.
Black Mass is due to be released in Irish cinemas in September 2015
