The poor woman.
She didn’t end up winning the Puskas award unfortunately, but Stephanie Roche’s presence at the Ballon d’Or ceremony was THE big story of the day and unsurprisingly, it generated huge media coverage, including on the Six One news this evening.
As part of their news coverage, RTE had detailed a reporter to go to Stephanie’s native Shankill, where hundreds of well-wishers had gathered to cheer her on for the announcement.
Poor Sinead, however, wasn’t quite ready when given her cue by Eamon Horan back in studio, as was captured in this video from KC of Red FM, whose daughter you can hear in the background.
