We know big name actors have to make sacrifices when playing parts in major movies, but The Rock took it to new levels of dedication for his role in Hercules.
We hear of Daniel Day-Lewis going to incredible lengths to portray characters, but we’re not sure even he would have agreed to what The Rock did for Hercules. You may have seen some pictures of him as Hercules with the flowing locks and the dashing beard, but let us stop you there and ask you to take a closer look at that beard.
The beard is not his. Oh no, ladies and gentlemen, his beard is made entirely out of testicle hair. Yep, testicle hair. Yak testicle hair in fact. Apparently yak hair is expensive and soft. I’m still not convinced that that’s a good enough reason to have it on my face to represent a beard. Here he is describing it on an American chat show:
