Mr Lucas, we love you but stay away from Episode VII…
After JJ Abrams did his best to break the internet with the brilliant teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens this JOE went home and watched the entire original trilogy in all their glory.
Words can’t describe just how good Episodes IV-VI are but we do have some serious issues about The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, apart from Darth Maul, the pod race and Yoda kicking ass with a lightsaber of course.
Dull plots about trade federations and taxation, excessive use of crappy CGI and one of the worst on screen couples of all time are just some of the things that sent us into geeky fury.
We’ve faith in The Force Awakens because the trailer seems like a return to the original trilogies use of practical effects, costumes and sets.
If George Lucas had his way then the trailer may have looked something like this.
