We’ll never look at Woody, Buzz or any of the rest of the Toy Story characters in the same way ever again.
Think of the Toy Story trilogy and you instantly think of some of the most charming, heart-warming, amusing and most universally popular movies ever made; a series of movies that can make even the most stony-faced viewer laugh, cry and generally feel better about themselves after watching them.
Yep, JOE cried during the last Toy Story and we’re not afraid to admit it… That scene where *Massive Spoiler Alert* all the toys held hands when they were seconds away from certain death? Come on, it would bring a tear to a glass eye.
Anyway, what you don’t think about when you think of the Toy Story trilogy is that they are in any way scary. Sure there are some characters that are, out of necessity, a small bit evil, but there’s nothing about any of the three movies that would keep you awake at night… until now.
Having done something similar with Frozen in the past, YouTube user Bobby Burns has reimagined Toy Story as a horror flick, with Woody seemingly hell-bent on exacting revenge on Buzz after he replaced Woody as the main object of affection in the eyes of Andy, their owner.
Thanks to some clever editing, this really is quite scary and even though it’s just over a minute long, you might just have to watch the trilogy all over again to reassure yourself that the Toy Story movies are the feel-good, family-friendly classics that you remembered.
Even if you weren’t particularly scared, just watch them all over again anyway. You won’t be disappointed.
