We need to see this on the biggest screen imaginable. Right now.

By this date in 2018, the box office had already seen Black Panther, Peter Rabbit, Fifty Shades Freed, and Paddington 2, all of which went on to become huge money-makers.

As of today, the “biggest hit” of 2019 so far has been Glass, which has made over $220 million, followed by thriller Escape Room, with just over $100 million.

That is, of course, not counting The Wandering Earth, which has actually made over $500 million so far, despite only being released on 5 February.

It is, essentially, a Chinese version of Armageddon, but with the action, special effects, and set-pieces ramped up to 11.

Set in the year 2075, we find out that due to the sun was dying out, governments all around the world have built giant planet thrusters to move Earth out of its orbit and to sail Earth to a new star system.

Tidal waves kill the majority of the population, as does the freezing of the surface of the planet, forcing the majority of the survivors to live in massive underground cities.

As Earth passes by the planet Jupiter, massive gravity anomalies disrupt the majority of the planet thrusters, and a group of scientists and military must risk returning to the surface to fix them and save the remnants of the human race!

So… yes, probably not hugely scientifically accurate, but DAMN if that doesn’t sound like an exciting film!

We demand every single cinema in Ireland show this ASAP!
