We chatted to Mark Wahlberg about the McGregor/Mayweather fight and murdering Jack Reynor

Rory Cashin

With the arrival of the fifth Transformers movie in Irish cinemas this week, we were lucky enough to sit down with the movie’s leading man Mark Wahlberg to talk about it!

While starring in a movie filled with explosions and giant robots would be interesting enough all on it’s own, it actually kicks off with us reminiscing about the time Wahlberg was in Dublin for the Irish premiere of Daddy’s Home and he teamed up with JOE.ie to surprise a load of Irish dad’s in a pub for a few pints and more than a few laughs.

Having formally invited him back to Ireland once Daddy’s Home 2 is released, we then chat about the upcoming McGregor V Mayweather fight. Wahlberg is a MASSIVE fan of UFC, so we were very interested to see how he thought that fight might turn out.

Plus, our fellow Irish man Jack Reynor was in the fourth Transformers movie, but hasn’t returned for the fifth. What happened to him? It turns out, something bad. Something very bad.

And with Michael Bay – director of the first five Transformers movies – announcing that he won’t be returning for the sixth, who would Mark like to see take up the director’s chair?
