Garth Brooks says he has no plans to play a concert in Cork

Tony Cuddihy

Our obsession with the country crooner goes on and on.

Garth Brooks has denied that he plans to play a massive concert in Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork next year.

A spokesperson for the country singer stated on Thursday, “We know of no such plans on his schedule.”

Both Brooks and Adele had been linked with shows at the refurbished stadium, which will reopen with a capacity of 45,000 in January 2017.

Very few people know this, but in 2014 Brooks had planned to play five nights in Croke Park only to see the shows scuppered by Dublin City Council.

We wrote something about it here. And here. And here. And here.

OK, you get the point.
