Live music gigs you should be at.

This week is all about Electric Picnic so here are our five go-to-gigs at the Stradbally extravaganza.

Who: Grace Jones

When: Friday, Sept 4th

Where: Electric Picnic, Main Stage, 8.45pm

Grace Jones is one of the most iconic acts on the planet. The singer, songwriter, model, record-producer and actress will be making a return to the festival having dazzled us with her performance in 2008.

Grace Jones seems a bit barking mad, but this only adds to her appeal. Get your asses over to the Main Stage on Friday and be slaves to her rhythym.

Who: Future Islands

When: Saturday, Sept 5th

Where: Electric Picnic, Main Stage, 5.15pm

We are big fans of American synthpop merchants, Future Islands. We love Sam Herring and his madness and look forward immensely to what it is he brings to the Picnic this year.

Who: EMBRZ

When: Saturday, Sept 5th

Where: Electric Picnic, Body & Soul stage 1.50am

The young Dublin-born producer Jack Casey is the brains behind EMBRZ. Came to mainstream attention with his re-mixing of Ellie Goulding’s “How Long Will I Love You?” and has gone from strength to strength.

Go and see him at the wonderful Body & Soul stage and dance yourself silly.

Who: Gavin James

When: Sunday, Sept 6th

Where: Electric Picnic, Rankin Woods stage 6.15pm

Undoubtedly only a matter of time before this young Cabra man is headlining festivals globally. The voice of an angel and with the charisma and stage presence of a seasoned performer, he never fails to deliver live.

This will definitely be one of the performances of the festival.

Who: Manic Street Preachers

When: Sunday, Sept 6th

Where: Electric Picnic, Main Stage 8.45pm

The veteran Welsh rockers are always a brilliant live act and we are expecting major things on Sunday night from James Dean Bradfield and the lads.

With a back catalogue of brilliant tunes, they will no doubt wow the Picnic revellers on Sunday night.
