The title of Niall Horan’s debut solo album will definitely make you do a double-take

Are you seeing what we're seeing?

Am I… am I seeing that right?

That will be your first (and repeated) thought every time you look at Niall Horan’s debut solo album cover.

Obviously, we here in JOE love Niall, he’s always seemed like a right sound lad, and we’ve been there to celebrate with him when he was the first Irish person to get 30 million followers on Twitter, or when he announced he was bringing fellow Irish musician Gavin James along with him as a support act for his first solo tour.

We’ve also really dug his solo singles so far, especially ‘Slow Hands’, and his new one ‘Too Much To Ask’, and now he’s released the title and artwork for his debut album and… we’ve got some questions.

You see it too, right?

That album title is… yes, okay, technically it says ‘Flicker’, but with the typography in all caps, it does basically say ‘FUCKER’, right?

Now, did Niall see this and think “Yes, that’ll do nicely. A funny play on words, big fan”?

Or did, literally, this design pass through tens – if not hundreds – of people and not one person say “Eh… chaps? That says Fucker. I know it says Flicker, but it says Fucker. Should we give the design another go around?”

We should probably just be happy he didn’t title the album ‘Clint’, and leave it at that…
