Festival season continues to hot up – much like the weather, eh? – with the unveiling of the first wave of acts for Carlow’s BARE Music & Arts Festival.
The three-day bash – aka BARE in the Woods – takes place at Borris House in Carlow from 6 – 8 July, bringing together a host of Irish and international talent with everything from post rock to trad to rap to hip hop on the bill.
Detroit rapper Obie Trice takes headline honours, while Swifty and Kuniva of D12 fame will also be on hand. Oh, and there’s a DJ set from fashion guru and TV personality Gok Wan, too.
On the home front, you can expect turns from inventive Wicklow instrumentalists God Is An Astronaut, traditional Irish kingpins Kíla, and thoughtful singer-songwriter Seamus Fogarty to name but three.
