Good news for those doing the Christmas shopping.
Aldi Ireland has confirmed details regarding the extension of its opening hours over the festive period this year.
As part of the move, the supermarket chain will open at 8am and close at 11pm during Christmas week.
This is in order to give shoppers more time to pick up last-minute food, drink and gifts before the big day.
Stores will also be open until 7pm on Christmas Eve, though customers are advised to check their local store details online to avoid disappointment.
Aldi will close its stores as usual on Christmas Day and will once again keep all stores shut on St Stephen’s Day as a thank you to its staff.
The majority of stores will also be open from 9am until 9pm in between Christmas and New Year and until 7pm on New Year’s Eve to help shoppers get everything they need to ring in the new year.
“It’s important to us that our customers get enough time to stock up on all the essentials they need for Christmas this year,” ALDI Group Managing Director Niall O’Connor said in a statement.
“We are extending our opening hours during Christmas week to make sure more shoppers can avail of our fantastic, award-winning range of food and drink offerings and conveniently pick up everything they need for a festive Christmas.”

- Friday 23rd: 8am to 11pm
- Saturday 24th: 8am to 7pm
- Sunday 25th: CLOSED

- Tuesday 27th: 9am to 9pm
- Wednesday 28th: 9am to 9pm
- Thursday 29th: 9am to 9pm
- Friday 30th: 9am to 9pm
- Saturday 31st: 9am to 7pm
