Amnesty International have created a powerful and often disturbing video about Ireland's abortion laws and the importance of repealing the Eighth Amendment of the constitution. Several women share their experiences of being pregnant, and what starts off gently enough as those women describe the everyday nuisances of carrying a child soon turns into something far more evocative. A referendum on whether or not to repeal the Eighth Amendment of the Irish Constitution - which effectively introduced a ban on abortion in Ireland - is set to take place in 2018. If ever a video deserved to be seen far and wide, it's this one, which was originally shared by our colleagues over at Her.ie on Wednesday night and has already amassed over 2,000 shares.
