Here is a list of every Bank Holiday in Ireland in 2023

JOE

You can start planning your time off for the rest of the year.

Ireland has just had its first Saint Brigid’s Day Bank Holiday, a new public holiday and the country’s first February Bank Holiday.

The public holiday day has been permanently added to the calendar and will be observed on the first Monday of February every year.

It has also brought Ireland up to 10 Bank Holiday days each year, an increase on the nine days which had been standard in the country.

Ireland still has some way to go to match other European countries for public holidays, such as Italy (12), Portugal (13) and Denmark (14). Yet, no one is complaining about having an extra day off work.

Here is the full list of Bank Holidays in the Republic of Ireland for the rest of 2023 so you can start planning your time off, with New Year’s Day and St Brigid’s Day already observed.
