Two men remain in custody following the attack.
Police in Belfast have arrested two males following an altercation in the Glynn Road area of Larne this afternoon on Sunday 2 June.
Shortly after 12.20pm, police received a report that a man armed with a sword was assaulting another man on Glynn Road.
A 38-year-old male sustained a number of minor injuries to his body as a result of the assault.
The suspect then took off in a black car before the arrival of police.
A car matching the description was stopped by police in east Belfast some time later and a 32-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, common assault, theft and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.
A samurai sword was recovered from the car, and a 27-year-old male who was driving the car was arrested on suspicion of driving when unfit through drink or drugs.
Both males remain in police custody at this time.
