The presenter told colleagues that she is “through the peak” of the condition and is feeling well.
RTÉ presenter Claire Byrne has tested positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus, the national broadcaster disclosed on Monday.
Addressing staff via email, Byrne noted that she made the decision to inform her colleagues “at the earliest opportunity” and that she worked with the Health Service Executive (HSE) contact tracing system over the weekend.
Byrne went on to note that she is now feeling well and is “through the peak” of her condition.
Last week, Byrne conducted the broadcast of Claire Byrne Live from her shed as she self-isolated in response to cold-like symptoms.
