The forecast for this week is in… Good for some, not so much for others

There's no way around it.

Bank holiday weather

It was the best of weather, it was the worst of weather.

It’s a tale of two countries when it comes to this week’s weather forecast. Monday and Tuesday is set to see showers confined to the West and North of Ireland, while those in the South and in the East can expect sunshine and temperatures of up to 20 degrees.

Of course, it being Ireland, the tables are set to turn completely on Wednesday, with Met Éireann reporting “a shift in wind direction to moderate southeast to east will bring a spell of persistent rain in the south and east. That rain could turn heavy at times for the morning before slowly pulling away later. Elsewhere there’ll be ongoing sunshine.”

Luckily, even on Wednesday, temperatures will remain between 15 degrees and 21 degrees across the country… and will stay in the “high teens” all the way into Thursday.
