The band brought the iconic The Circus Tour back to the UK and Ireland this summer.

Gary Barlow has made an emotional admission following Take That's final tour show in Dublin this past weekend.

The band brought their iconic The Circus Tour back to stadiums for 17 shows across the UK and Ireland this summer.

The Circus Live, which first hit the road in 2009, earned a place in the record books as the UK's fastest-selling tour. The spectacle featured fire-breathers, stilt-walkers, clowns, acrobats, tap dancers and a 30-foot-tall mechanical elephant.

Fans of the chart-topping group were ecstatic when The Circus Live: Summer 2026 Tour was announced last year, with one saying the 2009 show 'was one of the best shows [they] ever saw'.

This summer's tour with Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen began in Southampton at the end of May, and finished up in Dublin on Saturday night, July 4.

However, in an emotional social media post, Barlow said the ending of this tour 'feels a little different' as he is 'pretty sure' the tour will not return.

"And another tour comes to a close. Somehow, this one feels a little different. With the other tours, it’s always comforting to know there will almost definitely be a next time. But I’m pretty sure this tour won’t return."

The former X Factor judge continued: "I was 38 when we originally did this show, and I have to say it’s been a whole other challenge doing it as a 55-year-old. I just can’t see a way I could physically do this show again."

"So, it’s with an extremely heavy heart that I leave The Circus in my past. I got to run away with The Circus twice. Now I’m running towards our next exciting, brand new show."

While The Circus may have run its course, it seems as though the band are not stopping anytime soon. Their tenth studio album entitled TT10 will be released later this year.
