It’s happening again.
Less than three weeks ago, over 100,000 people were affected when hundreds of flights were grounded, as a drone wreaked havoc with people’s Christmas plans at Gatwick.
It has now been reported that on Tuesday, 8 January, a similar incident has taken place in Heathrow.
The Airport’s official Twitter page alerted people in a post which read: “We are responding to a drone sighting at Heathrow and are working closely with the Met Police to prevent any threat to operational safety. As a precautionary measure, we have stopped departures while we investigate. We apologise to passengers for any inconvenience this may cause.”

Although it has not yet been confirmed, police are currently investigating the area following the reported drone sighting.
