These were the hottest temperatures recorded across Ireland on Thursday

If the weather stays this warm, we’re going to get suspicious.

Met Éireann has released the figures on which of its stations picked up the highest temperature this Thursday.

West was best on this particularly, and the highest recorded temperature was a scorching 22.6 degrees Celsius, recorded at the Claremorris station in Mayo. And yes, for any internationals reading this article, that qualifies as scorching on these shores.

The other western weather stations weren’t far behind either. Mount Dillon (Roscommon) clocked in with a maximum temperature of 22.3 degrees Celsius, Athenry and Moore Park in Galway saw a very pleasant 21.3 degrees Celsius, and Shannon Airport in County Clare saw heights of 21 degrees Celsius.

In other news, it rained in Dublin. You win this time, Westerners.
