JK Rowling has been dropping clues about her next book

Carl Kinsella

This summer, it’ll be seven years since the final book in the Harry Potter series was released.

Nevertheless, the hype surrounding The Cursed Child and Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them is ample evidence that the world can’t enough of anything that JK Rowling puts her name to.

There’s understandable excitement around the British author’s next project, but not all that much is known about it yet.

Rowling has been dropping hints, though, saying that the Harmen Steenwyck painting “Still Life: An Allegory of the Vanities of Human Life” contains a clue as to what she’s working on at the moment.

A glimpse at the painting reveals what appears to be a skull on a desk, joined by an urn, a conch shell, a book, a old-timey lamp, a fife and a horn.

What have we learned here? No idea, but we’re looking forward to the book.
