Two Irish Lotto players are in for major celebrations after winning huge prizes.
Winning a massive €98,954 each by matching five numbers along with the bonus ball, it will be a Christmas to remember for the two players.
However, the pair missed out on the life-changing €3,975,548 jackpot by one digit.
The National Lottery has revealed that the winning tickets were purchased at McDonnell's SuperValu in Santry, Dublin, and The Paperchase in Ennistown Centre, Clare.
The winning numbers in the Saturday, December 14 Lotto draw were: 5, 17, 22, 33, 41, 46 and the bonus was 14.
While there was no winner of last night’s Lotto jackpot worth €3,975,548, in total, over 72,000 players won prizes across Lotto and Lotto Plus draws.
Players in Dublin and Clare have been urged by the National Lottery to check their tickets carefully.
The winners are urged to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email [email protected] to collect their prizes.
