Weather warnings have been issued to several counties ahead of stormy conditions forecasted this Sunday.
Status Yellow wind and rain warnings have been issued across 18 counties from early Sunday morning.
Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Waterford, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Wexford and Wicklow are under status yellow wind and rain warnings from 2am Sunday morning until 3pm Sunday afternoon.
With the west expected to see the windiest conditions (yet again), the wind warning in Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo is extended past 3pm until midnight on Sunday.
Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry will also be under a status yellow wind warning from 3am until 3pm on Sunday.
Met Éireann have listed difficult travel conditions, poor visibility, localised flooding, fallen trees and loose debris as possible impacts of the conditions.
Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather has said that rainfall of over 40mm is possible on high ground in the Southwest on Sunday.
Met Éireann's forecast for Sunday sees the rain gradually clear eastwards throughout the day, however the wind will prevail with scattered showers from the west, some heavy with isolated thunderstorms.
Highest temperatures will reach between 11 and 14 degrees with lows of 4 to 7 degrees.
