Is that a banana in your holster or are you just happy to see me?
As one of the biggest and most populated cities in the world, we can only imagine that the metro underground in Mexico City can get pretty hectic at times, that the police in charge of keeping order have to be on their guard at all times and ready to pounce on any potential offenders at the drop of a hat.
And what deadly weapons do they use to enforce order at all times? Well, bananas, if this picture of a Metro cop with a tasty-looking piece of fruit in his holster taken by Reddit user mandarino in Mexico City yesterday is to be believed.
While we’d love to imagine the officer in question firing out bananas Mario Kart style to stop local hoodlums in their tracks, it seems as if his holster was just the handiest place to keep his banana, although we shudder to think where he must have placed his gun as a result.
