See, the guards do have a sense of humour.
An Garda Síochána get some slack for their perceived lack of personality because they rarely crack a smile and will only talk to you when you’re in trouble.
We’d like to see more of a friendly approach but we also understand that guards aren’t there for our entertainment, they’re there to for the public’s safety.
However, the guards running An Garda Síochána’s Twitter account may have to scrap the day job and pursue a career in comedy.
Everyone in country knows that a derogatory term used for a guard is “a pig” and it seems the boys and girls themselves are well aware of that.

Hat off to whoever posted that because it shows a side of the guards that we rarely see, good on them.
And it’s not the first time pigs and police happily mixed together.
