Rocks thrown at Dublin Fire Brigade as they tried to extinguish bonfire

The incident occurred in south Dublin on Saturday night.

Dublin Fire Brigade took to Twitter to inform the public about an incident that took place in south Dublin on the evening of Saturday 27 October.

Rocks were thrown at a fire engine while the firefighters were attempting to put out a bonfire.

No firefighters were injured during the incident.

Dublin Fire Brigade said that “We’re reminding everybody that we want everyone to have fun this Halloween but our crews do have to extinguish fires if they’re proving dangerous.”

They also issued a reminder that using or supplying fireworks is a criminal offence, just days after 15-year-old Dublin boy had a firework explode in his hand.
