The €400 boost should begin arriving in accounts this week, becoming one of several cash boosts since the October announcement.
Starting from Monday, November 11, the payment is automatically being paid out to those in receipt of the Carer’s Support Grant.
This payment is usually delivered on a once-off basis each year in June, but this year will be supplemented with the November boost to further help carers.
The Carer’s Support Grant is available to people in receipt of the Carer’s Allowance (whether that be in full or at a half rate), Carer’s Benefit or Dominciliary Care Allowance.
If you’re not already receiving one of the above payments, you could still be eligible for this support grant if you are:

If you are getting Carer's Allowance, Carer's Benefit or Domiciliary Care Allowance, the €400 lump sum of the Carer's Support Grant will be given to you automatically, so you don’t need to apply.
If you are not getting one of the above payments, you should fill in a Carer's Support Grant application form for each person you are caring for.
This week, there will also be a €200 lump sum payment to nearly 254,000 people who are receiving the Living Alone Allowance.
