At the start of this week, JOE wrote about how the early forecasts for the coming weekend suggested Ireland was in store for more poor weather conditions.
This has come to pass, with Met Éireann now issuing several warnings over incoming "very heavy and persistent rain".
Two Status Orange alerts have been issued - one for Cork and Kerry, and the other for Waterford.
The first is set to take effect the entirety of Saturday (5 October), while the latter is scheduled for the same day from midday to midnight.
"Very heavy and persistent rain, with highest accumulations in mountainous areas of Kerry and west Cork," both warnings read.
"Impacts: River and coastal flooding, dangerous travelling conditions [and] travel disruption."
On top of this, Clare, Galway, Limerick and Mayo have been hit with a Status Yellow rain warning.
Currently valid all of Saturday as well, it reads: "Heavy and persistent rain. Possible impacts: Localised flooding [and] difficult travelling conditions."
