No injuries were reported.
Gardaí are investigating an alleged theft of building material from a van that occurred on Tuesday on the Ballyfermot Road, Dublin 10.
It’s believed two men – one in their late teens and the other in their early 20s – left the scene on a horse drawn sulky which later collided with a Garda Patrol vehicle on Blackditch Road, Ballyfermot.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
The two men were arrested and detained at Ballyfermot Garda Station.
They were released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
The building material was since recovered and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
