Video: Masked duo filmed removing ‘No’ posters in Dublin

Homenews

Conor Pope has filmed people removing 'No' posters for the upcoming Marriage Referendum from lampposts in Dublin.

The Irish Times journalist identifies himself in the filming of the video, recorded on Gardiner Street in the capital, but the two individuals who are taking down the posters refuse to do likewise. One of them is wearing a mask. While JOE is firmly behind a 'Yes' vote in the upcoming Marriage Referendum on May 22nd, this unauthorised removal of 'No' posters is anti-democratic and cheapens any potential victory for the 'Yes' side. Conor writes, "a couple of people decided to take down posters advocating a No vote on Gardiner St today. I don't care what side of the argument you are on, I believe that is not right. And I think it is doing the Yes side of the argument a great disservice." https://youtu.be/HRMTRwdXEFE Clip via Conor Pope
