Safe to say the welcome mat wasn’t exactly rolled out for the Taoiseach in Galway yesterday.
The car in which the Taoiseach was travelling encountered a significant crowd of protestors while he was on his way to attend an event in the Galway town yesterday and the protestors weren’t afraid to let him know what they thought about the recent introduction of water charges.
We should warn you that some of the footage below makes for uncomfortable viewing at times and the language used is a little unsavoury, but it goes to show the depth of feeling that many people in this country have towards the water charges (amongst many other issues) and the messy way in which the entire situation has been handled of late.
