It’s going to happen sooner rather than later, so why not now? We’ve been so very close a couple of times and this weekend could easily be the weekend where we pop open the champagne and listen to some very dodgy hip-hop.
So, without further ado, here are our selections for this weekend:
Leicester and West Brom to draw, 12/5
Both clubs are still looking to find a bit of consistent form in the league and although both are capable of beating each other, we feel this one has draw written all over it. Leicester have drawn three of their first nine matches this season whereas West Brom have finished level on four occasions.
Alexis Sanchez to score any time and Arsenal to beat Burnley, 6/5
He’s in red-hot form for Arsenal at the moment and seems to be thriving in the Premier League. Arsenal should be too strong for newly-promoted Burnley at the Emirates and we think they’ll win comfortably. Sanchez has five goals in just seven Premier League starts for Arsenal this season.
Eden Hazard to score any time and Chelsea to beat QPR, 6/4
Eden Hazard was sensational for Chelsea at Old Trafford last week and although they conceded a late Robin van Persie equaliser, Chelsea look hugely impressive and easily the best team in the league on current form. QPR had a nice win over Villa, but Chelsea will beat them comfortably at the Bridge this weekend in our opinion.
Erik Lamela to score any time and Spurs to beat Villa, 9/2
Lamela is starting to find his feet at Spurs following his multi-million pound move from Roma last season. He’s been on the scoresheet recently too and although Spurs are very inconsistent, we think they’ll have too much for Villa, who are in a bit of a free fall at the moment.
