We’re a little bit late to the party with this one, but much like a box of cupcakes, it’s too good not to share.
It wouldn’t be stretching it say that Nick Faldo isn’t the most popular guy in golfing circles, so there would have been a lot of golfing fans laughing at him as well as with him during a bizarre yet hilarious episode in the Golf Channel studio earlier this weekend.
Sitting alongside Gary Player while analysing the Abu Dhabi Championship on Friday night, Faldo tried to have a bit of fun at the expense of the renowned healthy-eating advocate by pretending to eat a cupcake before casually tossing it over his shoulder, where it stuck to the glass window behind them as if it had been covered in superglue beforehand.
The clip was featured on Soccer AM yesterday and was also brought to our attention on Twitter by Jay, who insisted that we feature the clip below as an example of where we’ve seen this sort of thing before.

Incidentally, while that was all very funny, Rory McIlroy won’t have been doing too much laughing after finishing the tournament in second, one shot behind Pablo Larrazabal, meaning that he may well have won it had he not suffered a two-shot penalty for a fairly innocuous breach of the rules yesterday.
Maybe this might cheer him up.
