VIDEO: These fellas performed an age-old GAA drill at a wedding to warm up for ‘a heap of pints’

That’ll get the thirst up anyway.

If you’ve ever played Gaelic Football, there’s a very good chance that you’ve taken part in a simple warm-up drill commonly referred to as ‘truck and trailer’ at some point. There’s a time and a place for the drill and before this afternoon, we wouldn’t have thought that a patch of grass outside a church before a wedding was exactly appropriate. JOE reader Joseph Sweeney sent us in the footage below of a gang of very giddy wedding guests doing the drill before his own wedding to Selina Crowley in Clare in September. Some of Joseph's teammates from North London Shamrocks GAA club in London were on hand to perform a guard of honour with footballs gathered from the local Kilrush Shamrocks GAA club, but they got bored and decided to get a bit of training in first. Alan Murnane, cousin of the bride, is on commentary duty.
