The lads at Amazon have been putting together their plans for a new smartphone, but they want you to get it for free
Whether or not you sign up for a contract, the guys at Amazon think that you should pay nothing for their smartphone when it’s eventually released.
The guys at Digital Spy are reporting that they hope they can recoup the cost of making the phone (believed to be in the region of €150) by pushing the users who get one towards buying products on Amazon, from eBooks to accessories for their new mobile.
They also have digital ads which would be a revenue source, and has helped keep the price of the Kindle Fire low.
