Sales of the Xbox One and PS4 look set to dwarf their predecessors when they’re released later this year

According to what game developers Ubisoft have stated, the pre-orders for the next-gen consoles are set to be pretty huge, with the news that they’re currently double what they were for the previous consoles.

Digital Spy are reporting that Ubisfot CEO Yves Guillemot stated that retailers have seen their pre-orders double since the last time, and that they are expecting their Christmas business to be twice what it was when the PS3 and Xbox 360 were launched.

Ubisoft for one, have been doing pretty well out of this news, with orders of their new game Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed IV approaching the top of the list for pre-ordered games.
