If you’ve never seen a space shuttle blaze through the night sky before then go outside before 9pm tonight and look up.

The Space Shuttle Endeavour is scheduled to launch tonight at 8.47pm (Irish time) on its last ever mission. Fifteen minutes later, just after 9pm, people all over Ireland will be able to see the shuttle and its external fuel tank blaze through Irish skies as it makes its way into space.

Despite a patch of stormy weather that pushed back operations late last night, the Space Shuttle Endeavour is on track for the launch and a host of special guests including President Barack Obama, his family, and dignitaries from Russia, France, Germany and Canada will be in attendance.
