A Garda sergeant was among four people stabbed during a late-night incident in Letterkenny, Co Donegal on Saturday night.
The attack happened outside a pub on Letterkenny’s Lower Main Street at around 12.30am.
Four people, including one member of An Garda Síochána, were treated for knife injuries at Letterkenny General Hospital.
The Garda is reported to have received a hand wound during the fracas, but none of the injuries are thought to be life-threatening.
A 46-year-old man was arrested at the scene and was brought to Letterkenny Garda station.
