Taken 2 star and all round Hollywood bad ass Liam Neeson has been signed on for the new Lego movie called Lego: The Piece of Resistance alongside funnyman, Will Ferrell.
We’re used to seeing Liam Neeson fighting off bad guys in order to save his daughter in Taken (and in order to save the Jews in Schindler’s List) but he’s going to be playing the role of bad guy in the upcoming Lego flick, penned by Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
Lego: The Piece of Resistance, focuses on a character named Emmet (Chris Pratt), whose ordinary life as a Lego minifigure is blown out of proportion after he is mistaken for the Master Builder - the most powerful person in the Lego world.
He is then recruited by strangers who want to save the world from the evil President Business (Ferrell) and his sidekick Bad Cop (Neeson).
The film looks set to be released some time in February 2014 and it features other well-known actors such as Alison Brie, Elizabeth Banks, Morgan Freeman and Chris Pratt. It's a long way away, but the new Lego flick is already stacking up to be the 3D blockbuster of the year.
