In a classic case of life imitating art (or maybe it’s just Universal executives making incredibly smart Simpsons-releated gags), the new Simpsons Fast Food Boulevard gift shop has sold out of 'BORT' licence plates.

I repeat, we need more 'BORT' licence plates in the gift shop. OK, so technically, these are actually Kwik-E-Mart name tags but us Simpsons fans here at JOE like to think it’s all one big brilliant reference to this particular clip from Itchy & Scratchy Land: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=9vihYeWip4g It is a very popular name after all, as Bart found out much to his annoyance... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=VakEHKq5y1g Although, we could also wager a guess that it may have been the guys who built their very own version of The Homer who snapped all of the tags up.
