In a classic case of life imitating art (or maybe it’s just Universal executives making incredibly smart Simpsons-releated gags), the new Simpsons Fast Food Boulevard gift shop has sold out of ‘BORT’ licence plates.
I repeat, we need more ‘BORT’ licence plates in the gift shop.
OK, so technically, these are actually Kwik-E-Mart name tags but us Simpsons fans here at JOE like to think it’s all one big brilliant reference to this particular clip from Itchy & Scratchy Land:

It is a very popular name after all, as Bart found out much to his annoyance…
Although, we could also wager a guess that it may have been the guys who built their very own version of The Homer who snapped all of the tags up.
Either way, there are still plety of other ‘B’ tags in stock, so get in there quick all you Brendas, Brandons and Bobbys. I wonder if they’ve got any for JOE…
