Ireland’s 5-0 win over a Tuscan XI last night was little more than a kickabout but there were a few nice goals scored, including an absolute belter from Robbie Keane.

The Boys in Green got a bit of a break from what we can only imagine are tactically rigorous training sessions at their training camp in Italy with a far from competitive game against a rag tag bunch of footballers from the lower leagues and as you would expect, they made pretty short work of the challenge.

Robbie Keane scored twice and Simon Cox, Shane Long and Jonathan Walters added the others in an ultimately facile win in which Kevin Foley made a cameo appearance after he was harshly axed from the Euro 2012 squad and replaced by Paul McShane.

As you can see from the highlights clip above, the Irish lads didn’t seem to be under too much pressure at any stage, but we escaped injury free and Robbie Keane scored an absolute cracker with his lesser heralded left foot.

Why he was presented with such a huge trophy for such a meaningless game afterwards we have no idea, but as TV3’s Tommy Martin hinted at, maybe it’s not the only one he’ll be presented with this summer.

Check out the highlights for yourself in the video above.
