We usually have a Lionel Messi goal to show you about this time of the weekend but today it’s a sublime pass.
Barcelona travelled to Real Zaragoza and after falling behind early on the European champions stepped on the gas and won comfortably 4-1.
No surprise was the news that Messi nabbed another brace, meaning he has now scored 60 goals this season. Sixty. To put it in context, only three Premier League teams have scored more than that number in the league (Arsenal 62, Manchester City 75, Manchester United 76) this year.
Anyway, the Argentinian’s moment of magic this week was this pass, as he managed to fool all the Zaragoza team before slipping in this unbelievable pass to Pedro. His cross sadly missed Cesc Fabregas’ head but the piece of genius beforehand should get the publicity it deserves.
It reminded us of this famous image of another Argentinian maestro too as one man holds almost an entire team in his grasp.
